Responsibilities/Duties:
The research associate will coordinate research within Western Upper Limb Facility (WULF) located at the
Sturgeon Community Hospital in St. Albert. This role will include development of research proposals, obtaining
ethics and administrative approval, and coordinating/completing data collection and analysis. The research
associate is also responsible for knowledge translation activities including preparation of abstracts and
manuscripts.

Qualifications:
– MSc or equivalent in health-related field preferred
– Musculo-skeletal knowledge/experience an asset
– Proficiency in all MS Office applications – database experience an asset
– Competency with research design/statistical methods/analysis and software program(s)
– Ability to effectively manage/coordinate simultaneous projects and successfully prioritize multiple tasks to
meet deadlines
– Willingness to travel to different clinical sites within the Edmonton health zone to liaise with clinical/research
staff as necessary
– Assertive, self-motivated and able to work independently with little supervision/instruction
– Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with co-workers, clinicians and subjects
– Able to deal discreetly with confidential information and follow privacy directives
